Buffy has not been too well. I noticed she had worms so we took her to the vet. We also wanted the vet to check her mouth, as she has been sticking her tongue out recently and dribbling. As it turned out she did have worms and an abscess in her mouth needing immediate attention. A dental operation was booked and arrangements made to bring the other cats in for a check up so they too could have the worming treatment.

We expected this to be something of a challenge, and we were so right!

Buffy herself was okay in the vet, but cried like she was being tortured when in the box (we have a proper cat basket. Not a small one and she was perfectly safe and unharmed in there)

Next we took Xander (Known at the Vet as Zander – Obviously they are not BtvS fans) and Misty-Maya. The second box we had was a plastic one and even though it was newer it started to fall apart and Misty-Maya almost got out! Xander was a bit of a baby on the way there. Very un-Jack Bauer like. Misty-Maya was not too bad, but cried in unison with Xander.

When I walked into the Vets carrying both boxes they both simultaneously let out the most pitiful yowls! JUST to embarrass me! They were perfectly find being examined and both got a clean bill of Health. But Xander may need some dental work in the future.

Next day it was Robin's and Stalks-by-Night's turn. We replaced the plastic box with a new one, which is much easier to open and close. Robin was not at ALL happy about being in the box. He meowed, rolled around and tried to drag me in there with him! Stalks was mostly okay, but meowed when Robin did to show support (which was most of the time).

In the vet they were both very well behaved, Robin even giving a little purr as the Vet held him. Again a clean bill of health

Buffy had Antibiotics and pain killers to take during the week. The antibiotics were easy as I just emptied the pills into some whipped cream and she lapped it all up. The pain killers were much harder! Because of the type they were they had to be administered with a syringe into her mouth (no needle thank goodness).

Eventually after much grabbing, towel wrapping and many scratches we worked out the best way to do this was to sneak up when she was not looking and just spray in the direction of her mouth, mostly than worked. Mostly. But she was not at all happy with us and ran outside any time I moved.

However yesterday evening (Thursday) she was extra lovey. I think maybe she was feeling better and realised that we were responsible. She came to me for lots of fusses and sat between Viv and I on the couch most of the evening and came to bed with us at night.

Getting her in the box in the morning was very difficult I really had to push her in. I don’t think it would have worked with the other box.

She yowled all the way to the vets but did quiet down in the vets.

At 14:00 I called and she is doing fine and ready to come home between 17:00 and 18:00.

A bit of a steep bill, but worth it of course.

So alls well on the Cat front.

Are you Sure
On Mom: Stabilising and will be moving either to a Hospice or back home soon.

On Beard: Starting to get to the stage it's not itching (much). A number of people have said it makes me look 'Wise'.
Also been told I look like Geoff Capes! I'd rather look Like Grissom.

On Role-Play: OCSI was amazing on Tuesday. I wish I had time to write up my notes on the world, events and characters.

On Work: Not too bad. Thankfully on 08:30 to 16:30 shift this week. Nice to get home early.

On Cats: Robin and I are in a contest of wills.
He will try and get me up earlier to feed them.
I will try and stay asleep while he eats my face.
I'm winning so far. (no scars yet)

Oh what a wonderful afternoon!

First I spent most of the time having such wonderful intellectual conversation with some sort of vegetable working for HFC!

Discussing such amazingly fascinating topics as 'why have you no details of our account'? And 'What are you spending hours looking up information about a different account I have with you even after I have explained that it is NOT the one I want!' - Oh the joy!

While trying to fill the time between these exciting phone calls hunting around the house and gardens for Cally who seems to have a psychic power of invisibility when it's time to go to the vet. How wonderful to have such a cleaver cat!

When, with much sorrow I was forced to say goodbye to HFC I went to take some things to the bank for Viv. And how nice of them to realise I was coming and decide to close just on time for me not to be able to get there.

Then to the job centre to have a form signed. Obviously the bank had been on the phone to them first and advised them to close too.

Meanwhile I decided to try out Everquest again. To find my account had been cancelled. Nice of them really, to do that without informing me.

Even nicer for them to wait until I had spend 3 or 4 hours downloading file updates first.

And of course. When I went to the test program another several hours of updates to get.

Oh what a fun day.

Well. Day off today. Which is Nice.

But having to work from 09:30 to 19:00 on Friday and 08:30 to 15:30 on Sataday isn;t so nice. Make talk a lot of getting used to!

Spent most of today looking at jobs. Applied for few. nothing to get excited about.

Had a nice chat with Mandy, and a quick hello to Sarah.

Hopefully taking Cally to the Vet today to have a look at the lump she has at the back of her neck. IF she dosen't go into hiding again!

Plus Shopping, Vist to job centre to get soem forms filled. Busy afternoon.

Decided I might have another go at Everquest, if my susyem can take it. Just uploading pactes now.

And thats it. Viv's home for lunch, which is always nice.

Okay. I haven't updated for a few days. Very typical of me!

Lets see...

Feeling better about the job. Excited really, a bit apprehensive, not sure what to wear! I think my suit would be best, probably.

We had a great meal out on Halloween. Lots of fun. When we got back the house had been 'egged' aren't kids just great!

Anyway. What else?

Buffy has been poorly. Her fur was getting thin on one side to I took her to Vets. She HATES being in the car! Meowed all the way there. She was okay with Vet though. He said she might have an allergy, so gave her an injection.

Had to take her again a couple of days later because she went very thin and was being sick!

He said she had worms and gave her another injection. She dose seem to be getting better now. Moving about a little and has started to eat a little.

What else? Hmmm.

Built a little fence outside using a pole and lots of brambles. Not much use, but the kids might trip over it.

When out for a drink with Andy. Ended up in Yates when they had a karaoke night! Obviously we didn't sing! But music was okay (a bit loud)

Having fun with HP-Hogwarts. Me trying to do my Diplomat bit. Still time will tell.

Do I agree with people too much? Something Andy said 'I'm the one that always agrees' I think it's because I understand people too much! If someone says something I disagree with I will tell them, and if we discuss it, fine. I don't try and push my view onto them, no point unless they are open to change their mind. If I'm wrong I'll admit it, no problem. If I'm right and they still won't change their mind what's the point of pushing it? I'm Confuddled ;)

Thinking hard over last few days. What else happened

Coventry University offered me an interview, but it was paying even less so I declined.

Office angles has got me one for 9th, but given me no information! I'll see if I can call them.

Sarah has set up a 'live' web cam page! LOL I'm sure that girl has an exhibitionist streak! LOL

And hopefully Mandy is coming over on Sunday. :)

Off to Coventry later.

Well I 'think' that's about it. I'll update again if I remember more.
