Writer's Block: Robotic (Viv Posting)

Who (or what) is your favorite fictional robot?

When I saw this writing block topic I felt that Crys would have loved to respond to it. So I have in his stead.

I don't think Crys had a favourite fictional robot. Anyone that knew him knows he loved them all and had the userpics to prove it!

Still 'Bicentennial Man' and Data from ST:TNG were certainly high on his list. Plus, Gort of course.

There was one a little while ago that made me think of Crys - about whether robots would ever develop enough to have their own feelings etc. I remember having some fascinating discussions with Crys about this!

I know I don't know you, but I was thinking about you on Crys' birthady. I hope you got through it okay.

It was indeed one of his favourite topics and we had many discussions too.

I did get through the day fine, assisted by friends who came round for the evening. I didn't lock the entry over on my journal.

I remember Crys nagging me for ages to watch Bicentennial Man and when I finally did and cried a lot during my review of it on LJ he sent me virtual hugs

I'll always think of him when I see that film now. I don't think I'd have ever bothered with it if it wasn't for him
